IRON WORKERS APPRENTICESHIP
The Ironworkers Apprenticeship is a 4 year program consisting of 8,000 hours of on-the-job training and 816 hours of classroom training. Apprentices receive supervised on-the-job training and related theoretical instruction by master craft workers.
Apprentices are employed and receive wages while training on-the-job and the cost of the related instruction is paid for by the sponsoring JATC. This 'earn while you learn' feature of apprenticeship makes it affordable for all.
Beginning wages for an apprentice are $21.75 (including benefits).
